KRWG FM SPONSORS STEVE SMITH & HARD ROAD CONCERTSATURDAY, AUGUST 25TH
AT THE RIO GRANDE THEATRE
KRWG 90.7 FM will sponsor a Steve Smith & Hard Road concert with guest artist Wayne Shrubsall to benefit the station on Saturday, August 23rd, 7:30 pm at the Rio Grande Theatre in the Las Cruces Downtown Mall.
Tickets are available at the KRWG FM offices (room 121 in Milton Hall on the NMSU campus) by calling 575-646-2222 or via the website krwgfm.org and at Enchanted Gardens on Avenida de Mesilla.
Prices: (adult: $15 in advance, $20 at the door, 12 & under $7.50 in advance and $10 at the door).
Steve Smith has been performing for 25 years on the mandolin and guitar in just about every kind of music from old-time bluegrass, country, Irish, and jazz to chamberOctober 10, 2008 and as a freelance musician. Guest Artist Wayne Shrubsall (banjo and vocals) brings a background in old-time bluegrass along with a Ph.D. in American studies from NMSU where his dissertation was "The Five-String Banjo in American Popular Culture." Wayne has performed for over 40 years, writes for Banjo Newsletter and teaches clawhammer banjo at Camp Bluegrass. More Links: HardRoadBand.com
